Make, swap, and read new zines at the Lavender Lounge--a social space centering queer & trans emerging adults!

Join us for an hour of zine-making fun, followed by a reading with featured artist, Carter Kirby. Bring copies of your own zines to trade with others--or donate to the library's permanent zine collection!

Carter Kirby (they/them) is a 20 year old queer poet, actor, and activist from Central Arkansas. Recently nominated for Arkansas Times' "Best Poet" of 2024, they are known for their self-published zines and spoken word pieces, as well as community engagement through Lemon Pepper Poetry Slam and Dead Party Media.
