Drumming with Stephin Booth
Tuesday, June 25
1:00pm - 3:00pm
Drumming with Stephin Booth is coming to CALS this summer!
Stephin Booth has been playing percussion for more than 35 years, having been taught in various percussion styles, including Afro-Cuban, Puerto Rican, Caribbean, gospel, funk, hip hop and jazz rhythms. Since relocating to Little Rock three years ago from Los Angeles (where he played percussion for bands such as The Chambers Brothers and collaborated with members of Earth, Wind and Fire), Booth has been liberally spreading around his percussion knowledge. He holds workshops and exhibitions at libraries and schools, performs live for local organizations and at various venues, works with at-risk youth and is involved in several other projects.
Note: This event will be held at Southwest Community Center, right next to the Dee Brown Library.
