Siyona Karkera, a senior at Pulaski Academy, achieved a significant milestone in her pageant journey by clinching the coveted title of Miss Arkansas Teen USA 2024. The crowning moment occurred on April 14, 2024, amidst excitement and applause at the OCCC Performing Arts Center Theater in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Siyona's triumph not only marks a personal victory but also a historic moment as she becomes the first Indian American to hold this esteemed title.
Beyond her role as a professional model and pageant queen, Siyona serves as a beacon of inspiration in her community and beyond. As a NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) state youth ambassador, she passionately advocates for children's mental wellness, leveraging her platform to amplify awareness and destigmatize mental health issues among youth.

Dee Brown Library is nestled in the heart of southwest Little Rock and offers patrons a wide variety of adult and children’s books as well as CDs and DVDs. The 13,500-square-feet library, which opened in 2002, provides access to public study rooms, a meeting room, and an outside deck and boardwalk that lead from Baseline Road to the library.
