Parenting “unexpert” Gwenna Laithland was born and raised in Oklahoma, where she got her start as a writer at the age of eighteen. Accessible, digestible, and rooted in reality, debut book Momma Cusses helps readers with navigating family dynamics and cultivating emotional resilience for adults, children, and everyone in between.

Jess H. Gutierrez, who lives in Northwest Arkansas with her firefighter wife and their three wild kids, is a speaker and former journalist whose work has been published in numerous Arkansas newspapers and who has earned awards from the Arkansas Press Association. A Product of Genetics (and Day Drinking) is a frank, raucous, and bawdy collection of essays about coming of age through the oddest jobs, misadventures in queer love, and endearing parenting fails.
