Alice Driver is a James Beard Award–winning writer and translator from the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas. The explosive exposé Life and Death of the American Worker: The Immigrants Taking on America’s Largest Meatpacking Company covers over a decade in the lives of Tyson workers across several plants in Arkansas, offering an inspiring tale of the sacrifice and resilience of the immigrants who prepare our food.
Boyce Upholt is a journalist and essayist whose writing has appeared in The Atlantic, National Geographic, the Oxford American, and Virginia Quarterly Review, among other publications.
