Due to licensing issues, the NETFLIX movie, "Six Triple Eight" could not be shown on February 5. Instead, a short documentary special on the the 6888, will be shown on Wednesday, February 12 at 11 AM.
The Grown Up Matinee is a free weekly program featuring classic and current media including Podcasts, Audio Books, Movies and Music at CALS Brooks Library, 11am to 1pm. Refreshments provided. Due to licensing issues, we could not show the NETFLIX movie, "Six Triple Eight" on Wednesday, February 5. Instead, CALS Brooks library will show a short documenatry special on the historic only Black women's American military unit, 6888, to serve in Europe during World War II on Wednesday, February 12, followed by the 2nd episode of True Detective, Season 3, starring Mahershala Ali, set in the fictional town of West Finger, Arkansas.
