CALS Brooks Library will be open special hours Saturday, 2/15/25, in support of the City of Wrightsville's Celebration of Black History. Pick up your free CALS Black History Month Activity Bag. All regular services will be available, 10am to 2pm.
Join the City of Wrightsville in a celebration of Black History and Excellence, encouraging everyone to reclaim their heritage, embrace present opportunities and prepare for the future. CALS Brooks Library will be open fromm 10am to 2pm, offering all regular services including checking out books and dvds, copying, fax, scanning, internet stations, free wifi and Notary Public. In addition, pick up a 2025 CALS Black History Activity Bag with coloring book, crayons, stickers and activity sheets. Free children and youth books avaible while supplies last.
The free City of Wrightsville Legacy Summit for Adults and teens will be located in the Gymnasium, next door to the library, at 13022 Hwy 365 S, Little Rock, AR 72206. You can visit vendors and attend programs including: College and Career Readiness (10:30-11:00 am), Financial Wellness (11 to 11:45), Working Lunch (provided) - Panel: "Your Health is Your Wealth, 11:50am to 12:20pm, and a Career Fair (12:30 pm to 2 pm).

CALS Brooks Library is located in the City of Wrightsville Community Center in between the City Hall and the Gymnasium. This library branch is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 to 4:30 PM. On the 3rd Tuesday of each month the library stays open until 7PM and hosts an art night with free art supplies for patrons to express their creativity. A Potluck Food Rescue Distribution is held each Tuesday morning at 9:30 am while quantities last. A Be Mighty Food Pantry is located inside the library and a Little Free Pantry is located in the Wrightsville Community Center Park Lot. The Millie Brooks Library Community Garden is located in the city park behind the Community Center. The library has 4 Internet Stations for public use, free wifi, and offers copying, printing, scanning and faxing services. One study room is available for public use on a first come first serve basis. Table Top Games, an early childhood playroom, and a Video Game Room are available during regular library hours.
