BOOKS: It’s A Love Story & August Lane

About the authors:

Annabel Monaghan is the USA Today bestselling author of It’s A Love Story, Summer Romance, Same Time Next Summer, and Nora Goes Off Script, as well as two young adult novels and Does This Volvo Make My Butt Look Big?, a selection of laugh-out-loud columns that appeared in HuffPost, the Week, and the Rye Record. She lives in Connecticut with her family.

Regina Black is a former civil litigator, current law school administrator, and lifelong romance reader who has always been passionate about the depiction of Black women in popular culture. She currently resides in the southeastern United States with her husband and daughter. Her first novel was The Art of Scandal.

About the books:

The novel It’s a Love Story follows a former adolescent TV-actress-turned-Hollywood-producer whose “fake it till you make it” mantra sets her on a crash course with her past, forcing her to spend a week on Long Island with the last man she thinks might make her believe in love.

In Regina Black’s second novel, August Lane, a Black country music star who lied about writing his only hit risks his comeback to reunite with the woman he stole it from, a first love the lyrics won’t let him forget.
