Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Good Sirs and Ladies! Let it be known throughout the land that the Main Library will soon be immersed in history and fantasy. We bid all ages welcome to this event. We do summon thee to come dressed in your finest attire.

10:30 Ye Olde Storytime
11:00 Knot Tying for Knights - Learn the basics of knot tying from an Arkansas State Park interpreter.
11:00 Face Painting (11-2:00)
11:30 Be Mighty Cooks Dragon Eggs (Scotch eggs)
12:00 Natural Dyes - We will extract colors from plants and dye handkerchiefs! See what different colors you can make from nature.
12:00 Lute Basics - The Lute was the most popular and important instrument for secular music in Europe during the Renaissance. Come and learn a bit about the lute and it's history.
1:00 Mocktail Healing Elixirs - Mix along with our alchemist to make creative and colorful “healing” elixirs
1:00 Be Mighty Cooks Dragon Eggs (Scotch eggs)
2:00 Irish Dancers from O'Donovan School of Irish Dance

Crafting with Creative Bug: Make your own fairy house using terracotta pots and other simple materials!
DND DIY: Create a custom dice bottle to use at your next DND night!
Stained glass: Paint your very own stained glass to hang in the window!
Masquerade masks: Decorate a masquerade mask using glow-in-the-dark materials.
Create a Crest: Create your very own crest ornament!
Quiet color quest: A quiet room devoted to coloring and relaxing.
Catapult Building: Watch demonstrations of medieval catapults in action and then create your own to take down the castle!
Joust Skills Test: Demonstrate your skill and honor by throwing the lance through the hoops while on 'horseback'.
Crest Design: - Create your crest based on your interests and personality. Add colors, animals, and symbols that represent YOU.
Fairy Whimsy Bottles: pick and choose from our collection of mini, fairy, and whimsical items to make a little bottle to wear or place on a shelf.
Wire Crowns: Learn how to create different designs and styles using wire.
We can't wait to see your costumes at the Main Library Renaissance Faire! Please be advised that persons carrying any weapon may not enter the library and shall be immediately removed. This includes firearms, knives, or objects of any kind capable of causing harm. If you're not sure if your prop is allowed, please leave it at home.
